Beginning in 2002, S3IDF's affiliate, a non-profit corporation with the same name and
mission, has been incorporated and staffed in India. The Indian affiliate has been granted
the Section 12 A(a) recognition under the Indian Tax Act in 2004. It is registered as a
Section 25 Company under the Indian Companies Act 1956. Donors can claim exemption under
Section 80G.
