RASS Workshop

Rashtriya Seva Samitihi (RASS), the nodal agency for Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India’s Ministry of HRD) organized a Business Development Workshop on 24th March, 2006 in Bangalore.

S³IDF participated in the workshop and presented its work to more than 40 grassroots NGOs.

STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP BY S³IDF

A workshop on “S³IDF: A Social Merchant Bank” was conducted on 17th February 2006 in Bangalore.

Participants included: existing and probable new bank partners - Canara, Pragathi Grameena Bank, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank and NABARD; funding organizations - the Lemelson Foundation, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), Philips and Arghyam Foundation; NGOs - RASS and MASARD; technology suppliers - SELCO and Sahyadri Energy Systems; and other organizations like TERI and RIN.

The workshop presented the aims and approach of S3IDF along with project examples and future plans. Participants brainstormed about their possible roles in S³IDF’s “business model”, and a road map for future partnerships and activities was developed.
