S3IDF is a very transaction-oriented entity whose mission is to facilitate small-scale infrastructure and related investments needed for poverty alleviation and overall economic advancement in the developing world. The necessary, if not sufficient, infrastructure services needed for such advancement include the provision of electricity and other modern forms of energy, water supply and sanitation, transport, and, increasingly, telecommunication and information services. In this regard, it presents a wide range of opportunities for interested individuals and institutions to involve themselves as partners in this process.
